About the project
Who is the face behind the Project? The owner and hairstylist, Roxanne “Rox” Rodes. Rox opened the salon in 2008 at the age of 25. The premises where she recently relocated to create her brand new high-end salon is not far from where it all began.
Rox hails from Amsterdam with solid English roots. As popular as spray tan was in other countries, the UK, US, and Australia, the idea hadn’t yet reached The Netherlands. After extensive research, Rox landed on the brand she wanted to work with, BeauBronz. Originating from London and owned by spray-tan guru Abigail Oleck. From there, the Project Cosmetology Salon was born.
Statement from Rox
Opening the salon has been exciting and rewarding. The decision to expand the business with hairstyling and beauty treatments was challenging initially. However, the industry had grown on me, and I felt more passionate about it than ever. I realized I was exactly where I wanted to be.
Owning a business means taking risks and the need to sacrifice to succeed. I have learnt so much from my journey and also about myself.
If I had the chance to do it all over? In a heartbeat!
